Simon recently moved from the northern rivers region, where for the past ten years he worked with TAFE Outreach. His experience has involved working within juvenile justice, corrections and remote disadvantaged environments. Prior to this, for 15 years he worked within the hospitality human resource and training environment in Batemans Bay. Simon has a Bachelor of Social Science majoring in human services and sociology, Certificate IV in assessment and training, and certification in mental health aid. He describes himself as compassionate about addressing societal discrepancies and injustices within the social order.
