Canberra Men’s Centre has a growing reputation for breaking new ground in working with men living in the Canberra region. Our staff are skilled and capable people, mining a rich vein of professional practice and life experience to support their work with the men who use our services, and with their partners and families. Our case management and counselling practice is supported by CMC’s Complex Case Management training and an active peer professional development program.
WHAT'S NEW?
Working With the Man
Canberra Men's Centre is proud to announce our newest service, an integrated program of supported accommodation, case management, counselling and group programs for men who have used violence against women. WWM aims to help participants stop using violence, develop skills and understanding to manage future crises, reduce recidivism for participants and help women and children who experienced violence by participants to be safe and feel safe.
Franklin Charity House
Canberra Men's Centre is one of five community organisations soon to benefit from a coming auction of a brand new house in Franklin to help raise funds in support of Canberra's homeless. The house is the product of a partnership between the Master Builders Association, the Land Development Agency, and a number of very generous building industry businesses who have offered goods and services. Our share of the proceeds, expected to be around $30,000, will be used to deliver advanced training to staff of local organisations who are working with people with high and complex support needs.
